Barbara is a lifelong resident of Central Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin and Baylor University where she earned degrees in Biology and Environmental Studies. She is a long-time resident of Waco and Woodway, where she enjoys the wonderfully charming, friendly, and engaging lifestyles of these communities. Her three children, John, Taylor, and Shannon, all attended Midway ISD schools from elementary through their high school graduations. During this period, she appreciated the opportunity to participate with PTA organizations at the various campuses. She also served as a volunteer and on committees for education programs, sports programs, fundraising, and social activities. In addition, during these years, she forged deep roots in the larger community as a member of Historic Waco Foundation, Fort House Committee, and the Waco Tennis Association. In these organizations, she participated in Waco TA-hosted USTA events, Brazos River Festival, and Christmas on the Brazos, among other events. Last, and most importantly, she loves and cherishes her role as the grateful grandmother of six wonderful grandchildren living in Texas and Virginia.
